In 2005, Jaydie was diagnosed with a Brainstem Glioma tumor. Her life, and the lives of those around her would never be the same. During the course of her illness, Jaydie found many ways to cope with her disease. Helping others to be happy became her best medicine. She was always concerned about the welfare of others, even at her darkest hours. She started Team Jaydie to raise money to help other kids with cancer. She felt that she could make a difference in the lives of the children who must fight such a disease. Indeed she has made a tremendous difference. Money raised by Team Jaydie has gone to great use at places like Phoenix Children's Hospital.

Jaydie received her treatments at Phoenix Children's.
