As one of the ten largest hospitals in the nation, Phoenix Children’s Hospital offers the most comprehensive array of pediatric specialists in one location in Arizona, in addition to having the third largest Neonatal Intensive Care unit and second largest Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in the U.S.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital recently announced a major expansion plan focused on family centered care that will help the Hospital continue to provide world-class treatment for the sickest kids in decades to come.

The multi-phase expansion plan includes aggressive recruitment of the best and most specialized pediatric staff, construction of satellite ambulatory/urgent care centers located throughout the Valley, and major facility upgrades at the main hospital campus including a new patient tower and a Ronald McDonald House. This is the Hospital’s first and immediate response to the explosive population growth expected in Arizona between now and 2010.

The Annual Phoenix Children’s Hospital golf tournament has become one of the premier charity golf tournaments in Arizona. In the past nine years the tournament has raised over $1.7 million in funding to support the outstanding medical care provided at Phoenix Children’s. Organized by a group of community minded volunteers, the goal of the tournament is to provide an opportunity for others to give back and have some fun while doing so. Since 2002, an average of $.82 per every dollar raised has gone directly back to patient care, exceeding the national fundraising benchmark of $.70 per dollar. These funds have impacted a countless number of children and families through a variety of programs and care provided by Phoenix Children’s.

We welcome your participation and help in meeting our $450,000 goal this year. Funds from the 2008 tournament will support the expansion initiatives to help fulfill the long term needs of children and families in need of pediatric medical care.
